Looking for a delicious and easy dessert recipe for Sunday afternoon tea, this is it! So yummy and goes great with a cup of tea or a big glass of milk.

From my kitchen to yours:

Raspberry Crumble Squares

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups flour

1 1/4 cups oats

1/3 cup sugar

1/3 cup brown sugar

1/4 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp salt

1 cup slivered almonds (crushed but with some whole pieces left)

3/4 cup butter, melted

2 cups fruit jam or preserves (we like raspberry)

Directions:

1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees and line a 9x9 inch cake pan with parchment paper.

2. In a bowl whisk together flour, oats, sugars, baking soda, salt and nuts.

3. Mix in butter until mixture resembles wet sand.

4. With the back of a spoon press 3/4 of the mixture in the lined pan.

5. Bake for 20 minutes and remove from the oven.

6. Spread preserves over the baked crust

7. Sprinkle remaining mixture over the top of the jam/preserves

8. Return pan to the oven and bake for 20 more minutes

9. Remove pan from the oven and allow squares to cool in pan for 1 1/2 hours before cutting
